Core requirements

Before installing the Vanta Boost Bot, confirm your Windows PC or VPS meets the basics below. These requirements help the bot connect reliably, read configuration files correctly, and avoid setup failures caused by missing permissions or unstable connections.

  • A supported Windows PC or VPS (Windows 10 or Windows 11).
  • Stable internet connection for license checks and Discord API traffic.
  • Access to the Boost Bot download files from your client portal.
  • A valid license key from your purchase.
  • Discord Developer Portal access to create bot token, client ID, and client secret.
  • Permission to invite a bot into the target Discord server.
  • Ability to edit local config files (license.key and config.json).
3

Discord application credentials

The Boost Bot connects to Discord through an application you create in the Discord Developer Portal. You will place these values into config.json during setup:

  • Bot token
  • Client ID
  • Client secret

Keep credentials private

Never share your bot token or client secret in tickets, screenshots, or public channels. Rotate credentials immediately if they are exposed.

Discord server permissions and IDs

You need enough server permissions to invite the bot and configure logging. The setup guide walks through each config field; prepare these values first:

RequirementWhy it matters
Guild (server) IDTells the bot which Discord server to operate in
Allowed user IDsRestricts who can interact with the bot
Log channel IDReceives status and delivery logs
Invite / manage-server accessNeeded to add the bot and grant permissions

Enable Discord Developer Mode to copy user, server, and channel IDs. Exact permission toggles are documented in the Boost Bot setup guide.

5

Network and hosting expectations

  • Outbound HTTPS access to Discord and the license systems used by the bot.
  • A machine that can stay online during active boost sessions (local PC or VPS).
  • Firewall or antivirus rules that do not block the Boost Bot executable after you verify the download source.
  • Do not run untrusted copies of the software—only use files from your purchase portal.

  3. 3
Prepare a valid license key from your purchase email or dashboard.
